The roofing of Block G at Wilford School has been a known issue for several years, the building has suffered from regular leaks which have also impacted the internal linings of the building. There have been attempts at minor repairs over the years. The outcome sought for this project is to replace the existing roofing with a compliant, modern, and where possible improved roof for Block G at Wilford School. Engagement with Architectural and Structural Engineering services has occurred and provided are “For consent drawings” to based tender submissions off. These designs have been created over the last 6-8 months with the Project Manager ensuring that the major roofing faults have been accounted for in the designs. There is no specific package of work this project is a part of. Depending on the tender price there may be a desire to further engage with the selected tenderer to carry out remedial roofing works to other blocks as a variation to the programme.
