The works will involve the demolition of the existing infrastructure (both above and below ground). This includes the removal of foundations and any contaminated land to achieve this (the site is on the Greater Wellington Regional Council’s HAIL/ SLUR Register). It also includes remediation of the foundation area to ground level. An approved Resource Consent has been received for the work and the site will have an Archaeological Authority; the works must be completed in accordance with the requirements of these. The winning tenderer will have provided a sound methodology for demolition and will demonstrate well thought-out planning for key aspects such as site access, traffic management, salvage, deconstruction processes, and waste management. We are looking for tenders that will deal with the complete removal in a timely manner.
