Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora – Southern is undertaking the replacement of smoke detectors across the Dunedin Hospital campus (the Project) that will replace all smoke detectors assessed to be older than 10 years. We are seeking a committed partner to carry out the replacements across four hospital buildings in a cost effective and efficient manner while working to minimise disruption to operational facilities within each hospital building. The contracted Works will include: • Supply and installation of new smoke detectors at Dunedin Hospital • Associated works i.e. programming as needed • Working with Health New Zealand to update records through reporting on progress and confirming fitting ID numbers and locations Contractors will be working within a live hospital environment and will need robust methodologies and programmes to effectively manage the requirements and constraints that this creates. The anticipated dates are: Main Works Installation Start | October 2025 Main Works Completion | June 2026 MANDATORY SITE VISIT It is a pre-condition of this RFT that suppliers must attend a site visit.
