Esophageal manometry is used to assess esophageal motility and physiological function for patients with swallowing disorders, reflux and for pre-operative planning. Anorectal manometry is used to assess the function of the anus and rectum muscles in patients who have constipation, fecal incontinence and other anorectal complaints.
