The Transition of the Deep Subsurface Directorate has been tasked with providing a completion and reconstruction plan for future use of the deep subsurface in the context of the energy transition. The phasing out and construction plans and the agreements are translated into legislation and regulations and a transparent and efficient permit granting process. It is important that the activities relating to security of supply and energy transition in the deep subsurface are appropriate within the future energy system.
