Department of Forensic Science for felony prosecution brought in the D.C. Superior Court by USAO-DC. The nature of USAO-DC’s Superior Court litigation and the sophistication of their cases requires advanced and extensive knowledge of crime laboratory forensic testing to be successful. The district will leverage the verification services to evaluate and confirm the forensic testing conducted by the D.C. Department of Forensic Science’s methodology and reports related to Forensic Biology, Forensic Chemistry, and Latent Fingerprints. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures; only one source is reasonably available. The Government intends to use FAR Parts 12.6 and 13.5 to purchase the above listed items. \n\n The Contracting Officer (CO) determined that the anticipated price is fair and reasonable based on market research. EOUSA conducted research to evaluate cost in relation to service requirements, ensuring the best value solution for the district.
