Introduction Country: South Africa Description of the Assignment: P14.1.1 Community co-designed waste management solutions for Dunoon informal settlement, Cape Town, South Africa Period of assignment/services (if applicable): 2 months. The purpose of this consultancy is to support the City of Cape Town, South Africa, in leading a community co-design process with residents of informal settlements in DuNoon. The consultant will facilitate the development of waste collection solutions suited to the local context, with the goal of significantly reducing and ultimately eliminating illegal waste dumping. Solutions should address the full waste value chain, including waste reduction, separation, recycling, and waste-to-resource opportunities, and consider private sector integration where relevant. The consultant will also design and implement a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) framework to assess tested solutions and establish community feedback mechanisms to support iterative learning and refinement. Proposal should be submitted directly in the portal no later than indicated deadline. Any request for clarification must be sent in writing via messaging functionality in the portal.
