The existing locker room on Level 2 of the Avondale Police Station is undersized and no longer fit for purpose. To accommodate operational needs, other rooms within the building have been repurposed as temporary locker spaces, which has negatively impacted the station’s overall functionality and efficiency. Project delivery includes: • Demolishing & removing existing structures. • Expanding and creating an overflow area for gender neutral lockers. • Undertaking fit out for the locker room upgrade. • Undertaking shelving procurement and installation for a day bag room • Amendment to and reconfiguration of building services including active and passive fire systems, HVAC provisions and electrical services. • Safely removing and disposing of construction waste. • Ensuring the ongoing operation of Avondale Police Station throughout the project works, noting the station is operational 24/7. • Carry out final site reinstatement. • Ongoing maintenance for the Defects Liability Period.
