Tender summary
It is the intention of the City to select a Construction Manager/General Contractor at Risk (CMAR) to provide expertise to the City/Architect in pre-construction and construction phase services for the construction of a new fire station, Groce Meadow Fire Station. The selected CMAR will serve as an integral part of the project team to provide expertise during the pre-construction phase. The services to be performed by the CMAR as related to pre-construction phase activities will include, but are not limited to, cost estimating and phasing, permitting/process planning, coordination of the subcontractor/vendor solicitation and pre-qualification, and projection of construction cost and cash flows. Upon completion of pre-construction services of the project, the City will have the option to amend the contract in which the scope of construction services and a construction cost for the construction phase of the project will be determined. Any firm wishing to be considered must be properly registered and licensed within the state of South Carolina and have a good ethical and professional standing. The firm hired will work under the direction of City of Greer staff.
