Tender summary

Napier City Council (NCC) is seeking suitably qualified and experienced contractor to deliver sports field improvement works and associated specialist services across a range of Council-owned sportsgrounds. The programme forms part of Council's Sports Field Improvement Plan over the next 4 years and aims to enhance the performance, resilience, and availability of sports fields through targeted upgrades including irrigation, drainage, resurfacing, levelling, and specialist turf management services. The successful contractor will demonstrate expertise in sports turf science and infrastructure works and be capable of delivering high-quality, cost-effective outcomes that improve field playability, extend asset life, reduce long-term maintenance costs, and support the provision of quality sporting facilities for the Napier community. Respondents must submit their tender response using the templates provided within the Request for Tender (RFT) documentation by the closing date - 7 August 2026 at 2:00 pm. All communications regarding this procurement, including requests for clarification and questions relating to the RFT, must be submitted through the GETS Question and Answer (Q&A) function by 5:00 pm on 3 August 2026.
