The Town intends to select and contract with a qualified North Carolina licensed engineering firm to provide professional engineering, design, bidding, and construction administration services for the Wade Street Streetscape Improvement Project. The total project budget is $909,979.00, consisting of an $847,605.00 Rural Downtown Economic Development Grant awarded by the North Carolina Department of Commerce, the required 5% local match and additional Town funds. The estimated construction and related project budget is approximately $867,599.00, including a $73,227.00 construction contingency and $62,100.00 for technical services, including surveying, engineering design, procurement assistance, and construction inspections. This project is being re-advertised due to an insufficient number of proposals received during the initial solicitation. All qualified firms, including those that submitted proposals in response to the original solicitation, are encouraged to submit a new proposal for consideration under this re-solicitation.
