Tender summary
Seminole County is seeking proposals from qualified physicians to serve as the Medical Director for the Seminole County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) System. The Medical Director will provide medical oversight, clinical leadership, and direction for the County's pre-hospital EMS system while collaborating with County leadership, the Seminole County Fire Chief, and municipal Fire Chiefs to ensure the delivery of high-quality emergency medical care. The selected Medical Director will function as an independent contractor responsible for overseeing the clinical aspects of the EMS system, supporting continuous quality improvement, and ensuring compliance with applicable medical standards and protocols. To maintain public confidence and avoid the appearance of preferential treatment, the Medical Director must not have a direct contractual affiliation with any hospital to which Seminole County EMS providers routinely transport patients. The County seeks an experienced, collaborative leader with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in emergency medical services and patient care.
