Tender summary

The United Nations (UN) Department of Operational Support (DOS) is seeking to establish Global Systems Contract for the supply of perimeter fencing, for both operational and safety purposes, to be used by UN missions/ entities. The Global Systems contract allowing all UN entities to place Purchase Order directly with the contract awarded Vendor (s) as per prices, terms and conditions stated in the final contract for the supply of perimeter fencing will be awarded for an initial period of two (2) years with an option to extend for three additional 1-year periods (2+1+1+1) at the sole discretion of the UN and upon satisfactory performance of the contractor. The vendor shall provide three (3) types of fencing in two different variants A and B, and B, with two (2) different Types. A) Welded Clear View Mesh Fence (with anti-climbing characteristics) with gates and complete accessories for installation and functionality. The mesh size shall be 76.2 (+/- 0.5) mm x 12.7 (+/- 0.2 ) mm. B) Chain Link Fence with gates and complete accessories for installation and functionality - Type 1 with mesh spacing of 50.8 mm (+/- 0.5) and Type 2 with mesh spacing of 44.5 mm (+/- 0.5). All offered applicable products shall have resistance to corrosion for (two) different atmospheric environments: 1. Atmospheric environment for category C3 (Medium) - Urban and industrial atmospheres with moderate sulfur dioxide levels, Coastal areas with low salinity in the atmosphere- to be hot dipped galvanzied with zinc and aluminium or equivalent. 2. Atmospheric environment for category C5-M (Very high- marine) -Coastal and offshore areas with high salinity and industrial areas with extreme humidity and aggressive atmosphere, and subtropical and tropical atmospheres)- to be hot dipped galvanized and PVC or Powder coated or equivalent. The warranty required for corrosion resistance for the fencing, gates and its components is 10 years. The fencing system, Variant A and B only type 2, shall come with the option of adding vehicle crash-resistance either in-built or additional to the fencing system, that can be ordered separately by missions when required. The vehicle crash-resistance system shall be such that it can be added to the existing fencing systems, when the built-in resistance is not at the required level. The bidders must be either the manufacturer or an authorized supplier of perimeter fencing and shall have a minimum of 5 years of experience as supplier. The detailed Scope of Requirements (SOR), including the performance and technical specifications, quantities, details of test certificates for tensile strength, weld shear strength, vehicle crash resistance, corrosion resistance, dry film thickness and delivery, along with other the detailed Evaluation Criteria and Pricing Matrix, will be sent out to all bidders responding to this Expression of Interest (EOI). Specific Requirements/Information Companies that wish to participate in the upcoming tender are requested to submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) by submitting the electronic Vendor Response Form as per below instructions. Suppliers must be duly registered as a UN Secretariat vendor in the United Nations Global Marketplace (www.ungm.org) at the Basic Level or above to participate in the upcoming tender. The above mentioned conditions shall only be evaluated as part of the bid evaluation process following the issuance of ITB (not to be evaluated as part of this REOI process). Vendors are advised that this EOI does not constitute a solicitation. Vendors who expressed interest under the previous REOI (Ref # EOIUNPD23872) dated September 2025 do not require to resubmit their EOI and respond to this current REOI. The UN reserves the right to change or cancel this requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process.
