Tender summary
Dear Bidder, The International Labor Organization (ILO) is seeking a candidate to develop aa Regional Index of Occupational Exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), building on the ILO methodology. The assignment will involve replicating and updating occupational exposure estimates to Generative AI using harmonized household and labour force survey data from the SIALC microdata repositories. The consultant will apply exposure and augmentation scores, and generate detailed estimates by country, sector, gender, age, education level, and formality status. In addition, the consultant will design a methodological strategy to produce annual AI exposure estimates using tasks descriptions that are specific for the region. The work will result in a regional dataset, analytical outputs, and policy-relevant evidence to support governments in anticipating technological change, adapting education and training systems, and promoting productive and inclusive labour market transitions. A final report in English and Spanish will present the methodology, and findings. If you are interested, please express your interest and follow the attached instructions to view the detailed terms of reference and other relevant information on the ILO’s e-sourcing platform. Please note the deadline for submitting your proposal. Thank you
