Tender summary
The State Social Health Insurance Agency (SSHIA) in Akwa Ibom and Bauchi states are committed to ensuring sustainable and equitable access to healthcare services for all residents. These Agencies were established by the respectives laws within their states thereby enabling them to operationalize the state social health contributory schemes (SSHIS) in their respective states. To enhance financial protection and improve reproductive health outcomes, It has become imperative to revise these benefit packages for the schemes to cover health care interventions including the full component of FP and other high impact MNCH services. These agencies, therefore, seeks to integrate the full complement of family planning (FP) services into their respective SSHIS health benefit packages. The current utilization data will provide actuarial costing of these services for premium determination for the revised health benefit package, help estimate any financial deficit and commitment required to fund the proposed package. To achieve this, a comprehensive actuarial analysis is required to assess financial implications, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness of FP service integration while maintaining the scheme’s viability.
