Tender summary
UNESCO-IOC wishes to purchase sea level stations to extend the network of stations providing data to the IOC sea level station monitoring facility (SLSMF), the IOC GLOSS program and the IOC Tsunami warning programs. The stations will be designed, tested and installed as part of the Strengthening Sea Level Monitoring and Data Management in East Africa for Coastal Resilience and Community Safety (SEAMARCS) project, funded by the Flemish government and managed by IOC and partners in Kenya, Madagascar, Mozambique and Seychelles. The project stakeholders will build and test a prototype ‘sea level station in a box’ (SBox). The boxes will comprise all the components needed to install a sea level measuring station, including the hardware and software (details in Annex VII), the instructions for installation and operation of the stations.
