Tender summary

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) Sector Northern New England requires professional solid waste removal services for its shore installations in Portland and South Portland, ME. The contractor shall provide all necessary management, labor, materials, equipment, and vehicles to perform these services safely and in accordance with all local, state, and federal environmental laws. The contractor shall provide scheduled and "as-needed" solid waste (Municipal Solid Waste - MSW) and construction debris removal services at the specified locations. Equipment and Service Frequency Lids Required: All MSW 8-yard containers must be equipped with durable, functional lids to prevent access by local wildlife and wind-blown litter. Maintenance: The contractor is responsible for maintaining all provided containers in a clean, sanitary, and structurally sound condition (free of leaks and excessive rust). 30-Yard Roll-off (Construction Waste)   1          259 High St                  As Needed (On-Call) 8-Yard Container (Solid Waste)             4          259 High St                  Twice per week 8-Yard Container (Solid Waste)             1          Wrights Wharf              Twice per week "As Needed" Haul Requirements For the 30-yard construction roll-off container, the contractor shall provide hauling and disposal services on an "as-needed" basis. Upon receiving notification from the Contracting Officer (KO) or Quality Assurance Inspector (QAI), the contractor must service (empty and return, or swap) the container within 48 hours. The Government estimates 10 haul-offs and an estimated 30 tons of disposal per year for quoting and evaluation purposes. All regulations per the service contract act, prevailing wages and benefits are required as per the Department of Labor for place of performance, period of performance and trade of performance.
