The selected team will deliver durable, maintainable, and cost-effective facilities that support based general aviation aircraft storage, accommodate a variety of aircraft types, enhance airport operational efficiency, and generate additional airport revenue while aligning with the Airport's operational, economic development, and long-term growth objectives. The County is not seeking to prescribe a specific building or hangar door system. Rather, proposers should recommend practical and proven solutions that provide the most economical, efficient, reliable, and low-maintenance approach for the intended use. The County encourages innovative, constructible designs that maximize long-term value, operational functionality, durability, and lifecycle cost savings while meeting all applicable building codes, coastal wind-load requirements, FAA guidance, and airport operational requirements.
