Tender summary
The National Research Council Canada has a requirement for the supply of one new Microchip 53100A-IR Phase Noise Analyzer. The NRC must purchase a new and unused piece of equipment, meaning it must not be refurbished, remanufactured, or a previously used item. This hardware and Intellectual Property (IP) generated product is for testing of NRC’s “any frequency” coherent clock distribution over long-haul aerial fiber over distances of at least 100 km, up to 1000 km, using novel digital methods (based on NRC-patented or provisionally-patented IP), to the level of 1e-13 seconds of jitter, or lower, relative to the source-end reference clock. A high performance/high sensitivity Phase Noise Analyzer, with included ultra-low phase-noise Internal Reference (IR) accessible for external use by NRC hardware, is needed for this purpose.
