Brief Description of Service(s)/Product(s) Founded in 1993, South Texas College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) and offers more than 130 degree and certificate options, including associate degrees in various art, science, technology, and health science professions. Additionally, South Texas College is the only community college in the State of Texas to offer five baccalaureate degrees. South Texas College has a faculty and staff of more than 2,200 to serve 27,000 students across its five state-of-the-art campuses, two Higher Education Centers, the Regional Center for Public Safety Excellence, and one virtual campus.
