Tender summary

In consideration of the payments set forth in Exhibit B, Contractor shall provide the following services: I. Provide professional oral and maxillofacial surgery services in the Division of Dentistry, including repair of mandibular fractures. Such surgery services shall be provided in one (1) clinic day units as agreed in writing in advance by Contractor and Dental Program Manager. For purposes of this Agreement, a "clinic day unit" means a period of time of at least eight (8) hours of patient care services in a clinic setting during a given day. II. Provide dental services for the patients of the Youth Services Center (YSC), Maguire Correctional Facility (MCF) or Maple Street Correctional Facility (MSCC) up to one (1) day per facility up to an eight (8) hour shift, as scheduled by the Dental Program Manager in consultation with Correctional Health. III. Contractor shall participate in such teaching and/or training programs as are, or may be, established by the medical staff at San Mateo County Health. Each individual's participation in continuing education is documented and will be considered at the time of reappointment to the medical staff and/or renewal or revision of individual clinical privileges. IV. Contractor shall fulfill those requirements for active staff membership set forth in Article VIII Medical Staff of the SMMC Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations and maintain such active staff status as a condition of the Agreement. V. Contractor shall attend regularly and serve without additional compensation on committees responsible for peer review activities, quality assurance, and utilization review as outlined in the SMMC Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations. VI. Contractor shall provide medical staff administrative support to all SMMC departments in meeting surgical standards as defined by the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC), Title XV, Title XXII, and other applicable standards.
