Dear Bidder, The International Labour Office (ILO) is looking for an individual to undertake work as an External Collaborator consultant (support to research activities) – ILO Regional Office for Africa from 25 June to 11 December 2026. Below is a summary of the work to be performed: The work covers support to research-related activities of the ILO Regional Office for Africa in the following key areas: 1) support to study on effective coverage of migrant workers under Social Security Agreements (SSAs) - covering 50 bilateral SSAs involving African countries and 2 multilateral agreements (CIPRES and the ECOWAS General Convention). This includes literature review, mapping legal, institutional, and administrative frameworks; assessing data availability and comparability; and contributing to the conceptual framing and study outline; 2) support to research on digitalization of labour-related services, including labour inspection, social security administration, employment services, and skills systems, with a focus on access, inclusion, protection, and labour-market outcomes; 3) Further technical analysis and follow up research from the Tanzania and Institutional Survey on skills and lifelong learning and contribution to a Research Brief.
