NZDF requires a capable and reliable supplier to provide ongoing navigation training for RNZN officers. The training must develop and sustain the professional knowledge and practical skills required to safely navigate naval vessels in peacetime and warfare environments, and to support officers as they progress towards senior watchkeeping and command roles. The services will be delivered on an ongoing basis to meet annual training demand. Delivery must maintain consistent instructional standards, safety outcomes, and assessment integrity across the life of the contract. This training has been delivered by an external provider due to constrained internal instructor capacity. This procurement returns the requirement to the open market to identify a supplier that can deliver reliable continuity, maintain current and relevant course material, and ensure training outcomes remain aligned with RNZN operational and professional standards.
