Tender summary
The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing, on behalf of all governments (including States and Territories), is seeking to engage an organisation to provide the national blood stem cell donation service (previously known as national haemopoietic progenitor cell registry). This includes the management of the national donor registry for all Australian blood stem cell donors, recruitment of adult blood stem cell donors, blood stem cell donor education and engagement, blood stem cell donor matching services to support clinical decision making, and donor to transplant patient co-ordination in conjunction with transplant units and tissue typing laboratories, including access to/and provision of blood stem cells from national and international donors. It will also involve data management and reporting in relation to the Services, including reporting on patient outcomes for Australian blood stem cell recipients.
