Tender summary
Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) is leading on the clinical and operational transformation of acute paediatric healthcare in Ireland, and consists of hospitals at Crumlin, Temple Street and Tallaght, with the new National Children's Hospital Ireland due to open in 2026. As part of the Scoliosis and Spina Bifida Action Plan, CHI is actively seeking to reduce the waiting time children and adolescent’s resident in Ireland should wait for paediatric orthopaedic surgery for conditions such as Spina Bifida and Scoliosis. As part of this plan, CHI wishes to established a panel of qualified healthcare organisations. The capacity to treat a minimum of 10 patients by 31 December 2025 is a minimum requirement for entry onto the Panel. The treatment of paediatric scoliosis involves complex spinal surgery. CHI is only willing to entrust the treatment of CHI patients to hospitals of the highest quality in terms of the clinical team and the hospitals facilities and resources. The ability of the hospital and its clinical team to provide the highest level of care to the patient and their accompanying parent/guardian or carer is of paramount importance. Please find attached Invitation to Tender (ITT) for more information.
