Tender summary
The Texas HistoricalCommission (THC) seeks an individual or firm with the requiredexpertise for services to scrape and paint historic buildings, emphasizingpreservation, safety, and documentation over speed. The process generallyinvolves investigative analysis, careful surface prep, and the use ofhistorically appropriate materials at the Maplecroft and Rosemont buildingslocated at the Starr Family Home State Historic Site. Subcontractorsproviding services under the Contract shall meet the same requirements andexperience level as required of the Bidder. A VetHUB SubcontractingPlan and Bid Security Deposit is required to be submitted with your proposal atthe time of opening, or your proposal will be considered non-responsive. A Mandatory Pre- Bid SiteVisit is required prior in submitting your bid. Bidders are required to contactthe site and schedule their own visits from May 22, 2026, to June 30,2026. The Starr Family Home State Historic Site is located at 407 West TravisStreet, Marshall, Texas 75670. The site is open to the public Tuesday throughSaturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is closed on Sundays and Mondays. The sitecontact number is 903-935-3044. Respondents must schedule their visits withinthe specified timeframe. Site Representative and Bidder signatures are requiredafter the site visit is completed to establish the site visit date. Exhibit X,Pre-Bid Site Visit Form, must be included in the Bid. Bid will be rejectedif a signed Site Visit Form is not included.
