Tender summary
Under the ILO Ship to Shore Rights South-East Asia Programme, this initiative seeks to engage a qualified organization to implement a community-based intervention aimed at improving access to accurate, rights-based, and sector-specific information for Filipino migrant fishers and strengthening the capacities of LGUs and migrant organizations as frontline service providers. The primary objective of this initiative is to empower Filipino migrant fishers, their families, and communities through improved access to accurate, rights-based, and sector-specific information and strengthened local protection and referral mechanisms throughout the migration cycle. Specific Objectives: 1. Enhance awareness among migrant fishers, OFWs, and coastal communities on fishers’ rights, fair recruitment, safe migration, and available protection and redress mechanisms. 2. Strengthen the capacity of LGUs, PESOs, Migrant Resource Centers, OFW Help Desks, and community-based migrant organizations to deliver rights-based information, referrals, and support services for migrant fishers. 3. Promote coordinated stakeholder dialogue and advocacy at community level through participatory engagements and targeted information campaigns.
