It supplies water to Warburton Oaks, Franklin Square, Kimberley Woods, and Tantallon North subdivisions of Fort Washington, MD. Since 1993, these subdivisions have experienced approximately 51 water main breaks, shutdowns, and pipe repairs, underscoring the need for replacement to ensure reliable service, improve water quality, and reduce maintenance costs. This project is funded by the Maryland Department of the Environment State Revolving Fund and is subject to the requirements of the American Iron and Steel Act and the Build America, Buy America Act.
