Tender summary

This ITB aims to identify and award qualified training provider (s) to deliver two in-person training sessions in French, tentatively scheduled for June and September 2026, comprising: 1) One (1) x Basic Open-Source GIS training 2) One (1) x Intermediate Open-Source GIS training Each training session shall be delivered in French over five (5) consecutive working days (40 hours), using open-source technologies, under the ITU Africa-BB-Maps initiative. The objective of this assignment is to strengthen national technical capacity in broadband mapping by: 1) Developing foundational GIS competencies using open-source GIS tools. 2) Enabling participants to perform spatial data management and visualisation tasks. 3) Building intermediate competencies in spatial database management using PostgreSQL/PostGIS. 4) Supporting the sustainable operation of national broadband mapping systems within regulatory environments. 5) Supporting the structured establishment and facilitation of a Community of Practice (CoP) among participating regulators to promote peer learning and technical collaboration.
