Il est construit selon une technique mixte (béton, maçonnerie et bois) et est doté d'une toiture en cuivre. La toiture en cuivre ne sera pas remplacée. Une rénovation énergétique est prévue : isolation intérieure et renouvellement des installations techniques. Le bâtiment abrite 6 groupes de crèche, une cuisine de régénération, des locaux pour le personnel et des espaces communs.
