THIS IS A FEDERALLY FUNDED ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM PROJECT AND ALL THE PROVISIONS AND REQUIREMENTS OF THE FUNDING AGENCY THROUGH CALTRANS MUST BE COMPLIED WITH. The work generally consists of closing all sidewalk gaps located within one-half mile of a school entrance in various locations throughout the City: Acacia Street, La Palma Avenue, Frontera Street, & Santa Ana Canyon Road. The scope of work includes the construction of 1.23 miles of sidewalk & multi-use trails, as well as construction and re-construction of new curb and gutter, driveway approaches, ADA compliant curb ramps, and drainage facilities within these various locations, and all appurtenant work thereto necessary for the proper construction of the proposed improvements in accordance with the Project’s Plans and Specifications. This project is not covered “Project Work” as defined in the Second Amended and Restated Community Workforce Agreement (CWA) the City entered into with the Los Angeles/Orange Counties Building and Construction Trades Council and the Signatory Craft Councils and Local Unions due to funding restrictions.
