Tender summary
The Sanford Airport Authority (SAA) is seeking sealed proposals from qualified conractors for the SFB Midfield Utility Infrastructure project. This project involves the installation of potable water and wastewater systems to be transferred to the City of Sanford upon completion. The project is located along South Beardall Avenue and Moores Station Road in Sanford FL. The proposed utilities will be installed by the Sanford Airport Authority (SAA) and ultimately turned over to the City of Sanford. The force main will tie into an existing 8" stub at E. Lake Mary Blvd. The water main will tie into a 10" water main within the Airport fence and a 12" water main located on E. Lake Mary Blvd. Along with the utility installation, the project includes clearing and grading of Airport owned property located at the intersection of S. Beardall Avenue and Moores Station Road. Key Technical Scope: Water Main: 6,400 LF of 12" PVC/14"HDPE (tying into 10" and 12" existing mains). Force Main: 5,400 LF of 4" PVC/4"HDPE (tying into an 8" stub at E. Lake Mary Blvd). Appurtenances: Installation of fire hydrants, tapping sleeves, valves, flushing connections, and services. Site Work & Logistics: Clearing & Grading: Removal of 170 trees, plus shrubs and brush, along S. Beardall Ave and Moores Station Road. Restoration of Right of Way: All right of way roadway and green space restoration must meet Seminole County standards . Utility Coordination: Critical coordination required with FPL (including the removal of two poles) and Spectrum. Site Constraints: Work spans City of Sanford and Seminole County jurisdictions; includes fence removal/restoration and crossings under existing pavement. Gopher Tortoise Relocation: Relocation of existing gopher tortoises encountered along utility installation area.
