NOTICE OF INVITATION TO BID FOR DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS AT VARIOUS STREETS (Max Road, Gerda Street and Lesiker Road) CITY OF BROOKSIDE VILLAGE 6243 BROOKISDE RD .BROOKSIDE VILLAGE, TEXAS 77581 DEADLINE MAY 20, 2026 BY 2:00 PM The City of Brookside Village will receive sealed bids for Drainage Improvements at Various Streets (Max Road, Gerda Street and Lesiker Road), Brookside Village, Texas, GLO Contract No. 24-065-099-E831 until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at the City of Brookside Village, 6243 Brookside Road, Brookside Village, Texas 77581. Bids must be addressed to Hon. Mayor, Glenda Hundl. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at City of Brookside Village. Electronic Bid Documents, including Plans, Technical Specifications and Bid Forms, are available at www.civcast.com. No plan fees or deposits are required for bid documents. A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held in person at the City of Brookside Village City Hall at 6243 Brookside Road, Brookside Village, Texas 77581 at 3:00 p.m. on May 7, 2026. First Publication date: Wednesday, April 29, 2026 Second Publication date: Wednesday, May 6, 2026 Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows:1. See Bid Form for details A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Brookside Village or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The project to be constructed will be financed with assistance from the General Land Office (GLO) under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Develop-ment Community Development Block Grant - Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) program and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing Davis-Bacon and Related Acts wage rate, as issued by the Department of Labor and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin. Adherence to the City of Brookside Village Section 3 Policy is required for all contracts. All contractors and subcontractors must be cleared (not suspended or debarred) prior to any formal action authorizing the award of a contract to the contractor. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, Veteran-Owned Businesses, Section 3 Businesses, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids. The City of Brookside Village reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by City of Brookside Village for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder’s qualifications prior to the contract award.
