Specific Requirements/Information The Life Support Unit (LSU) of the United Nations Verification Mission in Colombia (UNVMC) is seeking proposals to provide funeral services in the event of the death of any official of the Mission within Colombian territory, including civilian personnel, volunteers, military and police personnel, as well as their recognized dependents. The requested funeral services include: collection of human remains, funeral preparation, embalming, cremation (when required), funeral services and other related services, processing of death certificates and authorizations before the local authorities in Colombia and any other country in which the Contractor may operate to provide funeral services under this Contract, as well as arranging the transportation of human remains and coordinating with airlines for the repatriation of the deceased to their country of origin, when required. La Unidad de Soporte Vital (LSU) de la Misión de Verificación de las Naciones Unidas de Colombia (UNVMC) esta buscando proveedores para la prestación de servicios funerarios en caso de fallecimiento de algún funcionario de la Misión dentro de territorio colombiano ya sea personal civil, voluntarios, personal militar y policial, así como de sus dependientes reconocidos. Los servicios funerarios solicitados consisten en: recolección de restos humanos, preparación funeraria, embalsamamiento, cremación (cuando esta sea requerida), servicios de funeral y demás servicios asociados, tramitación de certificados de defunción y autorizaciones ante las autoridades locales de Colombia y de cualquier otro país en el que el Contratista pueda funcionar para prestar servicios funerarios en virtud de este Contrato, así como la tramitación del transporte de restos humanos y coordinación con aerolíneas para la repatriación del fallecido a su país de origen en los casos requeridos.
