Tender summary

The general items of work to be done as part of this project consist of confined space entry, removal and disposal of accumulated sludge, grit, and debris from the existing anaerobic Digester No. 2, pressure washing of all internal surfaces, and coordination with facility staff to safely clean and prepare the digester for inspection and future operation. Preparing the digester for inspection will include: providing all access, coordination, temporary facilities, safety measures, ventilation, lighting, and support necessary for the District, engineer, and District-selected structural and/or specialty engineering firm(s) to perform an interior and exterior condition assessment of the digester to identify potential mechanical, structural, and/or coating repairs beyond the Work of this Contract. All work will be performed at Valley Sanitary District’s Water Reclamation Facility located at 45500 Van Buren Street, Indio, CA 92201.
