Tender summary

The Town of Manchester owns and operates a bulky waste landfill on Olcott Street in the southwest section of Town. This regional landfill accepts construction and demolition debris (C&D), bulky wastes, and approved special wastes for onsite disposal. Special wastes include but are not limited to wastewater treatment plant sludge from the Hockanum River Water Pollution Control Facility, non-hazardous polluted and contaminated soils and sediments, and approved industrial waste such as casting sands. The landfill operators cover C&D and bulky wastes weekly and they cover the wastewater treatment plant sludge and the sewer system grit and screenings daily. Work under this contract includes the establishment/repair of turf by hydroseeding on existing slopes at the Manchester Landfill and additional Town sites on an “on-call” basis to control erosion, established vegetation, cover wastes, and control odors and vectors. It also includes the maintenance of newly seeded areas until final acceptance. Quantities quoted shall be net services performed at areas addressed. 1. Routine Hydroseeding at Landfill 2. On-Call Hydroseeding at Landfill 3. On-Call Hydroseeding at Town sites at the direction of the Department of Public Works 4.
