Tender summary
Pasadena Water and Power ("PWP"), a department of the City of Pasadena ("City"), is inviting bids for the construction of a 25 Megawatt ("MW") utility-scale lithium iron phosphate Battery Energy Storage System (“BESS”) with a minimum storage capability of four (4) hours to be constructed at PWP's Glenarm Power Plant location. Construction of the BESS Project must adhere to all applicable local, state, and federal regulations and protocols. This contract covers construction-only services, as the complete design and engineering documents have already been finalized and are included in this bid package. The selected contractor will be responsible for construction, equipment installation, wiring, termination and testing of their scope of work to deliver a fully operational BESS facility compliant within the contract. Contractors must demonstrate experience with Lithium-Ion Utility Scale Containerized Battery Projects or similar electrical infrastructure projects and be capable of delivering the project in compliance with all applicable codes, safety standards, and permitting conditions. Contractor shall be fully responsible for the construction execution, field coordination, local testing within the scope of this bid and completion of all work as defined in this specification and IFC documentation.
