Tender summary
The Air District is leading the development of a new Clean Air Plan (CAP) . The CAP will establish a comprehensive, regionwide framework to reduce regional and local air pollution , improve public health, and advance environmental justice goals through a suite of control measures. The CAP will be developed over multiple years and will integrate technical analysis, emissions modeling, regulatory requirements, and measure and action development . The Air District is responsible for overall project ownership, management, and implementation of meaningful engagement and communications on the CAP . Through this Request for Proposal (RFP), the Air District expects to enter into contract with one (1) firm. The anticipated duration of the contract will be for a period of up to five (5) years, with an anticipated budget of $450,000. The Air District, at its sole discretion, will determine the initial duration of the contract and any subsequent extensions. The selected firm shall assist the Air District with meaningful engagement and communications on the CAP . This will also fulfill federal and state public input and disclosure requirements (California Environmental Quality Act [CEQA], Civil Rights, federal and state attainment planning). The selected firm will leverage existing connections to Bay Area community experts and community-based organizations (CBOs) to ensure engagement, outreach and communications are meaningful, accessible and inclusive .
