HHSC PCS is seeking competitive bids to establish contract(s) for a Digital PCR Instrument along with a DNA Extractor for detection and identification of microorganisms such as Carbapenems resistant bacteria which are a cause of high morbidity and mortality as well as extraction of nucleic acids from the Carbapenems resistant bacteria nucleic acid to be used for downstream processes such as PCR and whole genome sequencing. CDC requires Texas DSHS lab to perform both PCR and sequencing under the grant requirement.
