These scales provide Commercial Vehicle Enforcement (CVE) personnel with the capability to accurately identify overweight and improperly loaded CMVs at roadside locations where fixed weigh stations or permanent scales are unavailable or impractical. Semi-portable scales enable enforcement personnel to detect unsafe vehicle weights and axle load distributions before they lead to mechanical failures and collisions.
