Tender summary

The Authority is the Australian Government’s principal adviser on the development of High Speed Rail (HSR). Its purpose is to develop a nationally integrated HSR network, connecting cities and key regional centres, enhancing Australia’s long-term rail investment through policy development, national coordination, and strategic planning. This is a once-in-a-generation project that is expected to require a blend of Australian expertise in major infrastructure delivery and international experience from those who successfully develop and operate high speed rail networks. Successful proponents for this Project will likely combine Australia’s proven capability and skills with specialist expertise from those who deliver HSR systems internationally. The Trains, Systems and Systems Integration (TSSI) package includes the design, supply (of nominated key components identified during the ECI Process), installation oversight, final test and commissioning and systems integration of the rail systems works. The TSSI Major Delivery Package is also responsible for the maintenance of the trains, rail systems and infrastructure.
