<p>This is a Notice of Intent, not a request for proposal.&nbsp; The National Institute of Health, Clinical Center intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with the following vendor: Abbott Laboratory.&nbsp;</p> <p>Acquisition Description:</p> <p>DESCRIPTION OF THE SUPPLIES AND SERVICES REQUIRED TO MEET THE AGENCY&#39;S NEEDS<br /> The (4) Abbott Laboratories iStat 1 analyzer and 3-year service contract includes:<br /> <br /> - (4) i-STAT 1 Non-Wireless analyzers<br /> - 3-year Comprehensive Device Service Plan<br /> - Unlimited Equipment Returns<br /> - Unlimited Associated Items Returns<br /> - Additional Analyzers prorated<br /> - Equipment Replacement<br /> - Reconditioned Products</p> <p>The statutory authority for this sole source requirement is 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supply of service will satisfy agency requirements.
