<p>This Request for Information (RFI) is posted as a means of conducting market research and there is no solicitation currently. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI, or otherwise pay for the information requested. Responses are purely voluntary and will be treated as information only and not as a proposal.</p> <p></p> <p>The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) is seeking information from vendors who have integrated a rugged/industrialized tablet with enterprise level software. The intent of this solution would be to modernize daily correctional staff duties. Interested vendors are requested to submit capability/qualification statements with the relevant information requested below by May 4th, 2026.</p> <p></p> <ol> <li><strong>Hardware &amp; Physical Security Requirements</strong> <ul> <li><strong>​​​​​​​</strong>Compliance: Trade Agreemets Act (TAA).</li> <li>Ruggedization:<strong> </strong>Information on devices ruggedness.</li> <li>Access Control:&nbsp;Provide information on access controls such as support multi-factor authentication including secure PINs, biometric verification (e.g., fingerprint or facial recognition), and or PIV access for staff logins, etc..</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Operational &amp; Digital Logging Requirements</strong>​​​​​​​ <ul> <li>Presence Verification:&nbsp;Information on capabilities for the system to utilize NFC, RFID, or QR code scanning to provide verifiable proof of location specific entries and data.</li> <li>Real-Time Documentation<strong>:</strong>&nbsp;Information on capabilities to provide digital templates for housing unit logs, headcounts, incident reports, and other correctional institution data. Capabilities for supporting multimedia attachments (photos/audio) and voice-to-text input.</li> <li>Offline Synchronicity:&nbsp;Information on the systems capability to fully functional in areas with zero network connectivity. Abilities to automatically and securely sync to the central server immediately upon re-establishing a connection.</li> <li>Audit Trails<strong>:</strong>&nbsp;Ability to maintain forensic integrity of entry, edit, or deletion within the system including time-stamped and tied to a specific user ID to ensure a permanent, unalterable audit trail.​​​​​​​</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Artificial Intelligence &amp; Analytics Requirements</strong>​​​​​​​ <ul> <li>Behavioral Analytics:&nbsp;Information on capabilities for AI analyzation of historical and real-time data to identify anomalies in inmate movement or routine that may indicate a security risk or &quot;hot spot.&quot;</li> <li>AI Reports:&nbsp;Abilities to utilize AI capabilities to produce detailed customized reports from staff inquiries.</li> <li>Automated Redaction:&nbsp;Capabilities for the system to provide AI-driven tools to automatically redact faces or sensitive identifiers in video and photo evidence to comply with privacy and legal discovery requests.​​​​​​​</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>System Integration &amp; Compliance Requirements</strong>​​​​​​​ <ul> <li>Data Security:&nbsp;Information and capabilities for data security.</li> <li>System Interoperability:&nbsp;Ability to integrate with current Correctional Management software, and other external data sources.</li> <li>Centralized Management: Capabilities for Mobile Device Management allowing administrators to push updates, restrict applications, and remotely &quot;kill&quot; or wipe lost or stolen devices.</li> <li>Reporting Engine:&nbsp;Ability to generate automated daily, weekly, and monthly reports for compliance monitoring, shift summaries, and facility-wide trend analysis.​​​​​​​</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Support &amp; Sustainability Requirements</strong>​​​​​​​ <ul> <li>Training:&nbsp;Capabilities to provide a comprehensive training program, including &quot;train-the-trainer&quot; model, digital user manuals, and course curriculum.</li> <li>Technical Support:&nbsp;Capabilities for offering 24/7/365 technical support with defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for hardware replacement and critical software patches.​​​​​​​</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Implementation Costs</strong>​​​​​​​ <ul> <li>Associated Costs: Available information regarding pricing structure to include one-time costs, implementation costs, and annual recurring costs, or recurring maintenance, licensing costs, etc..</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Industry Use</strong>​​​​​​​ <ul> <li>Any relevant currently deployed use cases.</li> </ul> </li> </ol>
