This Advanced Notice is being published to inform the market of an upcoming procurement opportunity and to support early market awareness and engagement. No response is required at this stage. Hamilton City Council is planning a future procurement for Traffic Counting Services, supporting the delivery of the city’s annual tube count programme and associated quality assurance activities. Council is progressing a strategic initiative to become an industry leader in traffic counting and estimation. As part of this programme, we have refined internal processes and engaged specialist expertise to develop a new count framework and to manage the REG Traffic Count Estimation tool. The forthcoming procurement seeks a supplier with proven capability and resilience to deliver high quality traffic count data beginning in the 2026/27 counting season.
