<p>This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract without providing for full and open competition in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1 (41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1)) &ndash; Only One Responsible Source.</p> <p>The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), National Institutes of Health (NIH), intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price Purchase Order to FUJIFILM VisualSonics Corporation for a one-year OEM Service Level Agreement (SLA) renewal for the Vevo F2 High-Resolution In Vivo Imaging System currently in use at the NHLBI Murine Phenotyping Core, Bethesda, MD.</p> <p>Services include one (1) annual preventive maintenance visit, unlimited corrective maintenance, OEM-certified replacement parts, labor and travel, proprietary software and firmware updates, and technical support for the Vevo F2 system and associated transducers.</p> <p>FUJIFILM VisualSonics Corporation is the only authorized provider of OEM-certified maintenance services for this proprietary system. No other vendor can perform these services without voiding the manufacturer warranty.</p> <p>The full Notice of Intent is attached. Interested parties capable of meeting this requirement may submit a capability statement to Nicholas Capobianco at nicholas.capobianco@nih.gov by the response date indicated in the attached notice. Responses will be used solely to determine whether to proceed on a non-competitive basis or conduct a competitive procurement. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract.</p>
