<p>This is a solicitation notice prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 5.&nbsp; This notice also serves as the public announcement of the government&rsquo;s intent to award on a sole source basis, as required by FAR 5.101(c) <em>&nbsp;&nbsp;</em>This is not a request for competitive quotes.</p> <p></p> <p>Notice of Intent to Award on a Sole Source Basis.&nbsp; The Medical Readiness Contracting Office &ndash; Pacific (MRCO-P) intends to award a firm-fixed price purchase order on a sole source basis to: Fresenius USA Inc., 920 Winter ST, Waltham, MA, 02451-1521, Cage - 0NJV1</p> <p></p> <p>The authority for this non-competitive simplified acquisition action is FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. &nbsp;In accordance with FAR 12.102(a), the government documented its decision that only one source is reasonably available to provide the required Fresenius Aqua-C Uno reverse osmosis water treatment system to include the AquaC 15 Amp, Softener Portabl incl. salt tablet kit, AquaCaddy V2 Backflow Prevention/RPZ, AquaCaddy V2 Bolt On HD Conn.Kit(Option), AquaCaddy V2 Booster Pump, Aqua Caddy - Dual Carbon Block, AAMI Water Profile Kit , Acute Wheel Package and Aqua C Uno RO Install with Isopure Cart &nbsp;The basis for this decision is that Fresenius USA Inc. is the only source capable of meeting the government&rsquo;s requirement because Fresenius USA, Inc., is the sole manufacturer and distributor of the Aqua-C 15 Amp Water Purifying System and accessories.&nbsp; The Aqua-C 15 Amp Water Purification System is the only system available that is compatible with the government-owned Fresenius 2008T BlueStar Hemodialysis system.</p> <p></p> <p>Interested parties who believe they can satisfy the requirements listed in the solicitation may identify their interest and capability by submitting a capability statement to the point of contact listed below. &nbsp;This documentation must be submitted no later than 19 April 2026. <em>&nbsp;</em>The government will review any capability statements received and may amend this solicitation if it is determined that a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the government. &nbsp;A determination by the government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. &nbsp;Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.</p> <p></p> <p>This notice serves as the formal solicitation for the intended source. &nbsp;Fresenius USA Inc.<em> </em>is requested to submit a quote in response to the attached SF Form 1449, and the instructions contained herein and Additional Instructions and Information (Attachment 01).</p>
