Tender summary
<p>The Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Contracting and Procurement (C&P), and Acquisition Program Management (APM) intends to issue a solicitation using other than full and open competition. Accordingly, the TSA intends to award a sole-source contract to Rohde &Schwarz USA, Incorporated, 6821 Benjamin Franklin Drive, Columbia, Maryland, 21046. This contract will address requirements of the APM office to procure, ship, install, and maintain Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT) units.</p> <p>The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals, within 15 days of posting this Notice of Intent. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.</p>
