Introduction Request for Quotation for Supply, Delivery, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Distribution line for T-Connection with Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) of Saniveri Uttarganga Mini Hydropower Sub-Project (998 kW) Project: Renewable Energy for Rural Livelihood (RERL) Reference Number: UNDP/RFQ/10/2026 (UNDP-NPL-00644) UNDP is providing technical support to AEPC to implement the Asian Development Bank (ADB) funded South Asia Subregional Economic Cooperation (SASEC) Power System Expansion Project Off-grid Component. SASEC is promoting 4.3 MW mini-hydropower projects (MHP) and 0.5MW Solar/Solar-Wind Hybrid Minigrids (SMG) to increase access to electricity in rural areas for improving the livelihoods of people by promoting economic activities. One of the activities under Output 1 includes budget for MHP line extention in catchment area of Mini Hydro Projects under SASEC/ADB to extent the transmission line to the unelectrified household. This activity is planned for extention of distribution line (11 kV) for T-connection of Saniveri MHP, Rukum East with NEA line. This will help to evacualte the 998kW capacity of Saniveri to NEA grid line to distributed it in all household of Puthauttarganga Rural Muncipality through NEA distribution line. The main objective of the assignment is to extend distribution line 911 kV) of Saniveri MHP for T-connection with NEA grid.
