Tender summary
Land Management Building Demolition Taranaki Regional Council (TRC) invites proposals from suitably experienced and qualified contractors to undertake the demolition of the Land Management Building and associated structures at its Stratford site, located at 43–47 Cloten Road, Stratford. This project forms the final stage of TRC’s wider Accommodation Project, following completion of a new office building and upgrades to existing facilities. The works are required to safely remove an ageing and no longer fit for purpose building that contains asbestos materials and structural deficiencies, and to prepare the site for future use. The scope of works includes: - Safe removal and disposal of identified asbestos containing materials (ACM) - Full demolition of the existing building and associated infrastructure - Disconnection and removal of services - Site clearance, levelling, and making good The site will remain fully operational throughout the works, with ongoing access required for staff, contractors, and members of the public. Respondents must demonstrate proven experience in asbestos demolition, live site works, and strong health, safety, environmental and neighbour impact management. TRC is seeking a contractor who can deliver a well managed, staged demolition methodology, minimise disruption to operations and neighbouring properties, and demonstrate strong environmental performance including waste minimisation and recycling. This is an open, single stage Request for Proposal (RFP) process. Proposals must be submitted using the Response Form provided and include a separate priced and non priced response (two envelope system), in accordance with the RFP requirements. All communications, including questions and answers, must be submitted through the GETS Q&A function. Responses must be submitted electronically via GETS. If suppliers experience issues submitting via GETS, they should contact the GETS Helpdesk in the first instance. A site visit is scheduled as part of the tender process.
