Introduction Country :  Armenia Job title : Biodiversity Finance Plan Consultant Project: GEF8 Umbrella programme to design a national Biodiversity Finance Plan Contract type : Individual Contract (IC) Job category: National (this job is open only to Armenian nationals) Duration: May 2026 - April 2027 (indicative 120 working days) Duty station/work location : Yerevan, Armenia/Hybrid: Office-based and home-based Description of the Assignment : The objective of this assignment is to develop Armenia’s first National Biodiversity Finance Plan (BFP) under the BIOFIN framework. The BFP Consultant will lead the design and preparation of a comprehensive, evidence-based plan to identify, prioritize, and implement innovative biodiversity finance solutions that bridge the gap between available resources and the financing needed to achieve national biodiversity targets outlined in the updated NBSAP. The assignment aims to support national decision-makers in optimizing resource use, greening sectoral budgets, engaging public and private stakeholders, and ensuring sustainable, measurable, and impactful financing for biodiversity conservation, restoration, and mainstreaming, in alignment with the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
